Teal Bay Trip
I drove myself, Nev, Barnaby and Will up to tealers for a boyz weekend of running.

The weather was attrocious - heavy rain all friday night and into Saturday morning.

Saturday

I had some dastardly plans for running up into our land block, involving High Chaparral, Te Araroa,  lookout, some detours to traps and Kiwi houses, through to our land's end, returning back down Te Araroa to the grassy meadow and down to the stream and quarry, up via first site to home hill, back past spaghetti junction to forked Kauri and then along to Kauri block.

This was fun running for 1:40, albeit in dismal conditions.

We then had a decision... go boring, or go adventure? Naturally *everyone* voted for adventure. (There is a tiny caveat on this statement, based on one party member wanting some plausible responsibility deduction should there be any deaths or serious injuries sustained.)

We headed off down from King and Queen Kauri down an increasingly steep slope until we ended up in the stream.

The stream was in semi-flood due to the heavy rain :)

After several hours, we made it out. No-one quite got hypothermia. (although there was plenty of shivering going on!)

Sunday
We ran around the mud and beaches of Mimi. At least the weather had improved then!
